Estimating
Once you have your electrical design plans in place, Shaw Electric can provide more accurate pricing using our plan and spec. estimating techniques. Our AccuBid estimating software updates the cost of materials and labor daily—right down to the specific light fixtures and conduit gear that you need. We even plan ahead 7 months to factor in variables that depend on the job or the season.
At Shaw Electric, as long as the project size and scope remains the same, we will not flood you later with price changes. For us, it’s a point of integrity to provide you with the most accurate estimate in the electrical business.

Conceptual Design
When owners, architects, and general contractors need to know the cost of the electrical systems in the earliest stages of the design process, they turn to Shaw Electric’s conceptual design capabilities.
Our estimating department combines the knowledge formed through our 75+ years in the electrical contracting industry—along with our uniquely designed Conceptual Estimating software—to formulate highly accurate conceptual estimates that take into account the proposed project’s approximate size, scope, and building type.
Our conceptual estimating software is updated weekly to account for fluctuations in labor and material costs. Moreover, our conceptual estimates are “vetted” against past projects of similar nature and scope, assuring that the total price or square foot cost is as accurate as possible.
