One of our goals at Shaw Electric is to exceed the standards for electrical design, installation, and safety every day. Toward that end, we have achieved a number of industry certifications and participate in a number of associations which we keep current on a regular basis. Our certifications and associations include:
BICSI standard for installing commercial building telecommunications cabling.
Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification for expertise in voice, data, video, audio, and other low-voltage controls. National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) certified engineering technician in electrical systems.
Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification for the design, construction, and operation of high-performance green buildings
Certified professional engineer through the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES), and in the states of Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Arizona, and California.
50-year membership with the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA).
National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association – the NBFAA has evolved into the largest professional trade association in the United States with the purpose of representing, promoting and enhancing the growth and professional development of the electronic life safety, security, and integrated systems industry.
National Fire Protection Association – The mission of the international nonprofit NFPA, established in 1896, is to reduce the worldwide burden of fire and other hazards on the quality of life by providing and advocating consensus codes and standards, research, training, and education.
